I have a Lore Bard 6 / Chain lock 3 (homebrew patron), but I don't presently have a great long-term build plan. My current build is optimized for Social, Control, and Blasting (in that order).
My one main restriction in this game is that, for homebrew setting reasons, spells past level 3 have a chance of failing. This means that spell slots above 3 are valuable, but mostly for up-casting since the really nice spells are likely to just fail at clutch moments. So, whatever I build, I don't want to have to rely on them.
I'm open, more or less, to anything and I think my DM will allow Tasha's, maybe even some UA.
