I always tell new players "play what you know". I often ask them when we sit down to create their first character to think of someone in fiction that you'd be interested in stepping into their shoes and go from there. Usually they come up with something that is pretty easily recognizable and easy to recreate in D&D. My latest is really going to challenge me tho. Here was her response...
william Miller from almost famous- smart, shy, but up for adventure
naytiri from avatar- strong willed, intuitive, warrior
mary poppins- whimsical caregiver
allison reynolds from the breakfast club- perfectly imperfect, shy & grungy but beautiful inside & out
So I ask you, what ideas and directions might you take this? I have a few ideas for some of them but I'd love to hear some other opinions.
