Hi everyone! My friends and I recently started a low magic campaign set in a post apocalyptic Mad-Max-esque mixed with Outlast and Metro 2033 world and I lost my Goliath Barbarian after being tossed off a cliff by a Frost Giant. So I rolled up a coal-coated Tabaxi Monk named Kaid and I wanted to ask you guys if you could possibly offer any ideas on how to connect a Monk with the world, as well as the party cause none of my group has been really helpful although they've tried. We just can't seem to find common ground or a solid reason as to why we ended up together.
A bit more info on the campaign setting : Basically a free for all between scavengers, hunters, runners and collectors. There are three deities in this world, the Fighter, who's mainly worshipped and followed by hunters and scavengers, the Runner, whose followers consist of those who struggle to survive and fend off the beasts and men that roam the land, and the Collector. My friends' characters are a Half-Elf Blood Hunter who has taken up the role of personifying the Collector, but in reality is just a dude who's obsessed with magic items and hoards them, gathering a small following of the people who have seen him, a Human Ring Wraith)(HB) and a Human Death Cleric.
Our Blood Hunter saved the Ringwraith from the giant that killed my previous pc and is now headed towards his home, which is an abandoned church that was dedicated to the Collector before people simply stopped going there. Our cleric worshipped the Collector and bumped into our Blood Hunter when he visited a church and prayed for about a day during which the BH showed up to see if anyone had left anything for The Collector so he could hoard it.
So. What do you guys think? Also, I forgot to mention, we're all level 4 PC's!
