Post Body

So I was thinking that it might be fun to create a character who is a hand puppet. Who's spirit possesses the body of the corpse. But in order to make it not immortal, say everytime the corpse takes damage, so does the puppet but also speeds up the decaying process so say if my hit points reach zero, the corpse turns to dust, but the party if they wanted to could put the puppet on a different corpse and the character would come back to life, or they disliked the character they could just throw away the puppet. If the dm allows it I was thinking depending on the race he could get a race specific ability, until the body decays again. I feel like I'd make his constitution his lowest stat, and make him a magic user. If the puppet is destroyed the character is lost forever. His personality would be like that really corny dad friend with all the dad jokes and puns. But he's really bad at controlling the body so he walks funny, and it's head is always limp. If the party was to lift up the head of the corpse they'd notice mummified skin, and milky white eyes. He's the spirit of like a quirky magic school teacher, who died defending his students to the big bad, and 1 of the students in their final moments bound his soul to a puppet, and put it on 1 of the already deceased students, and the teacher swore vengeance. He also has a good heart so he helps most people he runs into, and often teaches them things about magic or life skills. I want him to be easy to get rid of if the other players disliked the character.
