If I were to print a cup/bowl how would I need to prep it to actually use for drinking/eating purposes?

Currently I only have PLA but I would assume I could just use a certain resin to coat it in but Iām not 100% sure on this. I seen cool cups Iād like to actually use. Anyone do this or attempt it?
