Pausing print to insert temporary support piece to disable need for bridging and support structures
Post Body

I tried searching for this, but couldn't find any information. I was wondering if anyone tried for simple bridges or overhang, is it possible to print a support piece slightly smaller, and place it on the print before bridging occurs to act as a support.

I wonder if there is any risk of the piece getting stuck after the print finishes, or will it be moved by the nozzle. Anyone tried this? Is this a pretty common technique?

Please see this album for details.
