Buying used Tevo tarantula, looking for a bit of help

looking to dive into 3D printing and found a Tevo tarantula used locally. It's pre-built, has a few mods done to it and comes with 5 spools of filament for $200. Reviews seem a bit mixed, but as far as entry level goes it seems like a decent printer, I just want to make sure I'm getting my moneys worth, or if I'll regret going this route later down the road?
