Help with mp maker select v2

I just bought a monoprice maker select v2 and I put everything together but when I tell it to home all the extruder nozzle goes to the very edge of the heated bed and won't stop pressing down until I stop it. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I can post pics or a video if that would help.
