Extruder clunking sound when changing direction

Printer is a monorprice maker architect (flashforge creator clone). Got it a week ago and everythings been going great, up until last night where the extruder makes a loud clunking sound whenever it changes directions. You can see the video here:

It seems to print fine despite this, but it's also making this noise on every print. Currently running PLA and the part you see in the video is one of the test files, so I don't know the details aside from it's running at 220 C. I've also tried running different prints at 190 C and it's still making the same clunking sound when shifting directions. Anyone familiar with this issue and know where I should start looking?
