Resin structural integrity question

So I see lots on FDM printers but little on resin. Does anyone have some info on the structural integrity of resins? Could it be used for replacement battery covers or oven knobs? Could you make reprap machines from resin parts? What things have people used resin prints for? Any resources would be appreciated.
