I have a hydrometer on my filament box. And I have noticed that often times I need to change the filament before the color has fully changed. I can tell because where the box could normally maintain 10% RH it suddenly is more in 20% RH. Maybe the silica isn't "saturated" but it certainly isnt doing its job enough anymore.
I use this brand which claims to go from blue to pink. And I find it goes from like deep blue to like maybe a little purple when its time to change it.
I guess to me this means I will stop focusing on color changing desiccant and more on just monitoring the humidify with a hydrometer or humidity card.
Anyone else experienced this?
