Desiccant containers in vacuum bags.

Has anyone else wondered if those spool-hole desiccant containers can effectively pull moisture, since they’re basically sealed inside the hole? I’ve been experimenting with different designs that will fit near the filament (even on new rolls) but I’m beginning to think the little sachets are probably good enough.
I do like the hygrometers that go in the middle, but that can’t be accurate, right beside the silica beads. Would you care to share your opinion?
