So I've run into a bit of a snag, got a web homie that needs a TF2 Scattergun (pretty rough), but the shapeways homies don't print up things that even look like weapons.
It's essentially hollow (save a few support sections) w/ 1-2mm thick walls. What are some common pitfalls to hiring someone to do it privately? Would both people have rights to the file? Is signing NDAs offensive or complicated? Can Valve have me terminated?
Does anyone know of Ponoko has the same restrictions?
Also, what's a good estimate for the overall length of the Scattergun? Right now the whole thing is scaled relative to a 16mmØ barrel.
If I've offended anyone with my abrasiveness, please allow me to apologize with the dance of my people (making files).
