I bought my husband a new 3d printer and was fixing up his ender 3 v2 to give to a friend that has been wanting to play around with it. My husband is apparently terrible at working on them. The print head was moving, the bed was moving, x axis was unlevel, etc. I tightened everything and got everything leveled. Did a test print, it got halfway before the filament started to pull away and mess up. Watched the next print. It got about 1/4 of the way and the extruder started clicking and it started skipping layers and pulling the filament. I messed with the extruder tension thinking I could fix the clicking, and it worked for a bit, then started back up. Now the filament is intermittently feeding through. I've tried hand feeding it, raising the temperature, cleaning out the brand new nozzle, slowing down print speed... Sometimes the filament will come out and I can get it to print a bit, but it will start to mess up again, filament pooling at the nozzle tip, and the extruder clicking. Then filament stops coming out. I've also had a few warnings about the nozzle temp being too high, and it'll stop heating anything. Can anyone suggest something to try? I really don't want to put a lot of money into fixing it when we really don't need it, we're just trying to help out a friend who's going through a rough time. I've watched a ton of videos, but I feel like nothing is working. Also, pictures and videos are helpful for suggestions if you have them (I've learned a lot the last week, but I'm still new lol).
