Suggestions for starting out

Hey all. My wife and I are looking to get our daughter and I set up with 3D printing. I’m fascinated by it and she has been begging for a printer. Any suggestions for a starter set up? I don’t want to go high end with out first setup. I want to make sure she is going to stick with it then we can upgrade. Thanks
