Best Way to Import Reference models
Post Body

I am having to teach myself 3D modeling for work. We want to be able to take a real object and import it into Unreal Engine to create randomized scenes with it.

Right now, I have been using the Display.Land mobile app to take a pretty rough 3D scan, and I import that 3D scan into Maya. It has been pretty tedious so far to edit the scan to have the same dimensions as the real object. Am I doing something wrong in Maya?

I have also seen videos and examples of people sculpting their scans in ZBrush. Is ZBrush better for editing scans?

Should I even be using Display.Land? I have seen some examples of people taking pictures of their reference model and importing those into a 3D modeling software. Is that more efficient?

Thanks in advance!
