So here's the deal:
I'm a professional retoucher, so I know Photoshop pretty damn well, living 8-10 hours a day in it. It's one of the main reasons I'm so attracted to Quixel -- I'll be able to bring something I know really, really well into a complicated and, at this stage, unfamiliar process.
The idea of Quixel's Suite, dDo, nDo and Megascans are simply brilliant, and I really, really want to use something like this. To be able to have such fine control of all your maps, specularity, normals, and to not have to create all of it by hand ...seems nearly to good to be true.
And it kinda is. 99% of the time I load .OBJs from Blender and start importing maps, it crashes.
I've used it successfully maybe twice, and it's AMAZING when it works. But it doesn't.
What else are my options? What do you guys like?
Substance Designer? Something else?
Thanks y'all.
