I tried asking this at /r/3DShacks but it was removed there for being a "noob" question. :(
I've looked at the FAQ and the Q&A thread at /r/3dshacks, searched for documentation on NSUI, and various internet forums but couldn't find a reasonable answer for this.
Specifically regarding the ghosting and "dark filter" items in NSUI's edit config, is there a list somewhere with a proper setting for each game? I notice some games (Castlevanias) seem to look best with a soft dark filter, whereas a game like Super Puzzle Fighter looks completely washed out with it. Others are a mix, some good some bad.
Should these options be just left off if I'm not looking to emulate the look of ambassador titles? Or are certain ghosting values or filter (soft dark/strong dark) better for some games? I haven't been able to find a per-game guide on this anywhere and there's no tooltips on the settings in the application, nor documentation of any kind I could find.
Thanks.
