Regarding the unavailability of the smaller NN3DS in the US..

I wanted to get the smaller one, as I'm not a fan of the XL-sized console. Nothing really against it, just doesn't fit as well in my hand or pocket. What would the advantages/disadvantages be of getting a Japanese import of the smaller console? Would I be able to set the system language to English?

EDIT: Looks like the general consensus is that getting a Japanese one would be useless as I'd only be able to play Japanese games. I will look for a Euro/Aus one, and failing that, suck it up and buy the XL. Thanks for the help, everyone!
