eShop and Canadian Visa debit cards

Good news! I went to purchase Shovel Knight and was extremely happy to see that my CIBC Visa Debit card now works on the eShop!
I can't confirm this of other Canadian cards but I would assume Nintendo has now allowed these to be used.
Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up.
