I'm a (mostly) recovered alcoholic. I have gone 7 months sober, and, in total, I get drunk usually only a handful times a year now. I will be going to a beach bar for live music, and the temptation is going to be so strong that I'm not quite sure if I'll be able to resist. (It won't trigger a full-on relapse, but I might get sick for a few days, for those who are concerned about it being too harmful for my health to go!) Now, I know this will be different for everyone, but do any of you have any feedback or experience on having FAKE "alcohol"? I'm not sure if it would just make the trigger worse, or instead would make me feel like I was drinking without any of the consequences. Any tips would be helpful!
