Need some some with a/t manual mode

I have. 05 a/t and it won’t go into manual mode. When I switch to manual mode it stays in regular auto mode. When it first happened I tried a reset I found on YouTube and seemed to work for a day and then went back to staying in drive mode. I tried doing the rest over and over again and even reset my ECU but still have nothing. Any help is appreciated
