Hi everyone! I've been a long time lurker in this sub, but too shy to post or comment bc I know nothing about skincare! Honestly, it's a bit overwhelming to me. However, lately I've just been really really wanting to figure out what to do with my skin (my insurance doesn't cover dermatology).

I have the AHA/ABA cosrx toner, Dior glow exfoiliant, Origins Checks n Balance Frothy Face Wash, Philosophy microdelivery vitamin c resurfacing peel (I use this like once a month or every other month but thought I'd mention that I have it), and Bare Mineral's Butter Drench.

my major skin concern is the discoloration I get from being on birth control. Secondly it's the wave of wrinkles and just poor skin appearance. Sorry I haven't been able to attach a photo. I was just wondering if you guys could give me some advice whether I should be using something like Paula's Choice Niacinamide 20% treatment in addition to some heavy duty retinol product. Any and every advice/help welcomed!
