DAE’s skin HATE actives?

Post Body

So I spent a month or so healing my skin barrier. I bought some glycerin and holy shit that stuff healed my dehydrated skin like magic. I wasn’t waking up with tight skin anymore.

I kept my routine crazy simple. Aveeno calm and restore oat cleanser, La Roche Posay thermal water sprits, aveeno calm and restore serum, a dollop of Vanicream with 3 drops of Now vegetable glycerin and sealed it with aquaphor. Sunscreen in the AM.

Honestly my skin was lookin sooo good with just this routine alone. But Iike an idiot I decided to add back in some mandelic acid and niacinamide 😵‍💫 Because I still have some hyperpigmentation on the side of my left temple and I get some break outs there too.

I’ve been using both for like a week and my skin looks splotchy and weird in the morning and it has that dehydrated look again even though my skin isn’t tight.

I’m done with actives. DONE. Is there a way to treat texture without actives and lighten up dark marks? 😩 I love my basic routine, but I want those issues semi gone 😂😩
