Inquiry for CO2 Laser on hypertrophic/dermatofibroma scars
Post Body

Hi, I wanted to know if anybody has managed to get CO2 laser on hypertrophic/dermatofibroma scars. I have more of them now and I was never a fan of them, I go to plastic surgeons and they tell me that they can't do anything but excise it, but in the research journals, there are definitely people doing CO2 laser on them, so I wanted to know if anybody had success getting a doctor to do that, or other ways to get rid of it. Thank you in advance.

Things I already tried
scar tape: this doesn't work that well for me, I don't know why, but it tends to make my scars harder or do nothing at all
castor oil: it doesn't work for this particular issue, although for certain cysts they work great
castor oil essential oil: this made some of the scars more sensitive but didn't do anything
glycolic acid: this did not work but I haven't tried on all the scars
Jojoba oil vitamin C: I tried this once before but I am open to trying it again if I find a vitamin C that penetrates better
excision: causes more scarring
steroid: it made it from tight and raised to less tight and spread out (the phenomenon of when all that tissue relaxes it spread out to cover more surface)
