Need some help!!!

Working on my kid 85 300zx non turbo. Car drive fairly good but after a long drive or constant driving all of sudden rpm drops gas pedal becomes unresponsive like you can floor it but car barely move but will pick rpms and drop again… it won’t die but stall for a bit after shutting car down and letting cool a bit or so will drive normally until she decides to play games a do it again … anymore had ever this issue and what was your solution…. Thanks
