Following for more discussion. I’m on the fence about this. We don’t trust sex offenders as a society, but the law dictates they can be free once they’ve completed their punishment. However I believe pedofiles should be locked away from society. I don’t think they deserve life in prison, but I do believe they should be segregated from social gen pop. I also believe they don’t deserve the right to vote and other things of that nature. I also believe felonies should be evaluated to where laws can be written for offenders of non-violent crimes to receive their rights. But those who’ve committed crimes which are violent like domestic abuse, no they don’t get rights like firearms.
