Can't Log in after Maxing Disc Space on Linux Mint

Post Body

Linux Mint 20.3

Pre-fab HP AMD Rizen 3

I ran out of Disc Space while browsing yesterday and my apps started locking up. I started deleting some files, saw no difference to the 100% usage, so I restarted and now I can't log in. When I enter my credentials it just reloads the log-in screen. I somehow managed to boot directly into a Terminal log-in (I forget the button combination I used) and attempting to log-in there produces this looping error:

encryptfs_write_metadata_to_contents: Error attempting to write header information to lower file; rc = [-28]

encryptfs_write_metadata: Error writing metadata out to lower file; rc = [-28]

Error writing headers; rc = [-28]

I've booted into a LIVE USB Installer, and deleted about 80 Gigs worth of space, but it still appears to be maxed out. Fsck only comes back as "clean" and does not solve the problem.

EDIT: The error I received in the Terminal only obstructed my login and did not strictly prevent me from navigating the filesystem and clearing space. It took a bit to appreciate that there was available space again, but now I can login. It seems Timeshift may have silently robbed me of about 160 Gigs for no reason.
