So recently Ive been running out of space and decided to finally resize my Windows partition to allow more storage space. I came across this thread and followed all the instructions up until it cane to restarting my laptop. When I went to restart I got an error message saying "No start up disk detected" and when I go to choose my start up disk the only option I have is my Mac boot. I tried going to System Preferences and Startup Disk and I can see BOOTCAMP Windows there but its a folder image instead of the typical disk image. Any idea how to fix this?
Under Disc Utility I have Macintosh HD, Untitled (the space I freed up from my Mac partition) and BOOTCAMP. I can highlight BOOTCAMP but unlike the others I can't choose repair diagnostics and only Erase or Unmount (which I obviously dont really want to do).
After further research I've also found this thread and this thread and tried doing what they did but to no avail.
I'm on a mid-2012 MacBook Pro. I would very much like to try and find a way to remedy this without completely wiping my HD. I accept that that may be a possibility but after looking at these other threads it appears there are ways to fix this.
I thank you in advance for any help!
I'm on OS X El Capitan
