Hey 240sx!
I was searching for parts for my 240sx and I figured I would make a quick post for the interested!
Long story short: 12 years ago my very tall brother and I, decided we wanted to race cars. We have been racing 240s ever since.
Long story:
I am a school teacher by trade, race car driver by hobby. I have been racing and working on 240s since 2011. The first 240(1991)was a white hatchback that we raced for 6 years before it was totaled. The current one was built in 2017. All of the labor has been done by either my cousin, brother or I. It was found behind a guys shop. When we totaled the first one we put out feelers looking for a “new” 240. A guy was moving shops and wanted it gone. It had no parts to it, really just the unibody, doors, fender and hood. This was fine, we had bought a crabbing 240 that was cheap at the time but was never going to be a race car. So with the three cars combined. You see the red 240 today. It has been extensively lightened throughout the years. With roll cage it weighs around 2400lbs. We have built the last two engines, “stock”. We make about 170hp at the wheels. Finding good racing tires for the 240 was near impossible, so the rims you see on it are 15s from Miata’s. Obviously we have custom made the hubs. The brakes are from a j30 infiniti. We run electric steering from a Volvo. That’s about all the interesting bits. Most of the other stuff you can find online or probably have on your own 240.
We have done over 30 endurance races in the 240 and have had all types of success. It is one hell of a race car and thoroughly enjoy racing each and every opportunity I get. Below is a video from a race we did here in Houston. Our feed stops after about an hour, but the race goes on for another 7. We finished 1st overall! The longest race we did in the 240 was a 12 hr at High Plains outside of Denver. We finished 2nd there years ago. Who says 240s aren’t reliable??

(Jump to 23:30)- 240 in action at the start of the race. The guy on pole started early so I was a bit annoyed.
Last thing, the aluminum wing!??? So, we hadn’t stayed absolutely current on the rules. And for the new year they no longer allowed carbon fiber on the outside of the car. So night before the race, we made an airfoil with some aluminum and spray foam.
Serious last thing, does anyone have a stock hood they don’t want or is selling??? I live in Texas.
