I want to get into bench-rest precision shooting. Should I just start with a Cz457 and upgrade? Or go all in from the start?

Been shooting 9mm, 556 and 223 mostly. I have a henry in 22lr but I want something that I can perhaps get into competitive shooting with. I have built several ARs and I love to shoot but 556/223 is expensive. I love my Henry but it’s not as accurate as I’d like. Help me out guys. Would I be better off building out a rifle vs a 457? The varmint version is pretty difficult to find for a decent price where I’m at.
