There has been talk from the mods in the past about eventually adding a max cape and I think that it would be a great thing to incorporate into the game as soon as possible.
The introduction of a max cape into the game would give players something to work for, a concrete reward for maxing out their total level, thus increasing player time and possibly even membership sales. I for one play RS3 and Old school, but only play RS3 because of the fact that if I do eventually max, I'll have something to show for it.
When asked in the past, the mods have stated that they will consider adding the max cape once 200-300 people have maxed, which i believe to be a bad idea. Currently, there is a total of 41 maxed players in oldschool. Think of how cool it'd be to have a max cape right now. only 41 people out of the entire player base! The longer the mods wait to add the max cape, the less prestigious and meaningful it becomes.
One final pro that would come with the addition of the max cape would be a small money sink in the game, no matter how small. If the cape cost 10m, that's 410m out of the game assuming all maxed players bought the cape.
Thoughts? any reasons as to why max capes shouldn't be added?
