1Password 'Loading' for a long time on google chrome

As of today, 1password on the chrome extension shows the 'loading' screen for at least 5-10 seconds every time I start a new chrome browser session. Anyone else experiencing this issue? Chrome is up to date, etc. Works fine on Safari.
