I've had the chance to try both now and just wanted to share my observations. While the overall effects are characteristically the same, I would have to say the I find ALD-52 to have more vivid OEV than 1P-LSD. I am currently taking 80mg of Prozac and there is an inhibitory effect it has with them, but in comparison, it seemed that ALD-52 was able to override that a little better. I've recently been prescribed and will start taking 5mg Abilify and I will try again in a few weeks to see if there is any further diminished effects.
Looking further about the acetyl group, I found this in Wikipedia:
"Acetylated organic molecules exhibit increased ability to cross the selectively permeable blood–brain barrier. Acetylation helps a given drug reach the brain more quickly, making the drug's effects more intense and increasing the effectiveness of a given dose. The acetyl group in acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) enhances its effectiveness relative to the natural anti-inflammatant salicylic acid. In similar manner, acetylation converts the natural painkiller morphine into the far more potent heroin (diacetylmorphine). "
I've read that people describe ALD-52 to have a more "smoother" onset, and I think that's why.
