I'm really curious if the older and more experienced people get annoyed with some of the unrealistic ideals of some members in here. Here's a few things to consider about life...
Having a child changes you on multiple levels....physically and mentally.
Becoming a parent is a huge responsibility and requires a lot of time, attention, and resources. Unless you have a family support system around, things will become extremely difficult.
Being a SAHW or SAHM should be viewed as a lifestyle and not a job because it's something you can't just turn off. I've had years of (in my case) being the only one who could get up to change/feed at all hours and still go to work every day.
Postpartum Depression is something real that needs to be taken into consideration as well as the severity of going through it multiple times.
Having small children around will 100%, will be at many times, a cock block, or clam jam, whichever you prefer.
Finances....children are expensive...they're like having an extra mortgage payment.
Relationship integrity. How long have previous relationships lasted? Statistically, how do things look? How will future challenges and changes be handled?
These are just a few of my morning thoughts as I was browsing through this group.
Side note, I heard the 50s style relationship mentioned on the radio the other morning and they were talking about the men basically doing NOTHING around the house. They are sadly misinformed. My grandparents BOTH worked hard all day long. Anyway, if you read this all, I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day.
