Many people think tradition is bad. We act like all masculinity is toxic or that the traditional households are bad in modern western society. I know this sub Reddit does not. However, many do. Why do I believe in traditional masculinity? I think a man who provides and protects is a good thing. Women are physically weaker. We need to be there for them. Many men think crying isn’t masculine, but that’s not true. You can cry at death or at things that make you sad. Women do not care. Women don’t want to see you cry when they need you to be strong. They want to be Abel to be weak and cry and come to you when the world is falling apart. In those moments you have to be the man. When your kid needs something you need to work as hard as possible to make it happen. When something is broken you fix it. Women need to be able to be weak. The children need to know they can come to their mom when they are sad so they can be sad together. The woman and child need us to be strong so we can make it better. Why do I say these things? Because feminism is a direct response to week men or the absence of men. Women started wanting jobs when men had died during ww1 and ww2. They needed to take of their kids. But now men aren’t getting educated, they aren’t becoming teachers, they aren’t taking care of their own kids. Single motherhood is rising everywhere in the world. Men aren’t stepping up. Of course women are saying they need to be their own man. We as men need to show them that they can be weak and take their rightful place as a stay at home wife and mother. We need to be their protector. We need to step it up.
