Post Body

I was a complete noob in reps and learning by reading the forums. After some research, I asked a quote for Daytona 126500 from a TD here with the idea of buying that specific model, since I read the finish/feel and resemblance to gen is superior to the 116500.

I’m not too familiar with which model has what movement. I also stated I want the 4130 movement, because I read the DD4130 has more history and is preferable by many to the newer SH4131. TD didn’t say anything except respond to the “I want 4130 movement” message with a quote, which I took to mean that was the quote for the 126500. So I place the order, get my watch, only to just now realize (after realizing the 126500 has the 4131 and TD said I got the 4130 which I thought was odd then compared the difference between the two Daytona models) I got the 116500 not the 126500.

I even asked TD before shipping out “what is the name of the movement for the Clean Daytona?” He said DD4130 and I said “oh ok, not the SH4131? i saw online about people say its using SH4131 Movement” which he responded by quoting the message about DD4130 with the caption “,”

I took to mean the 126500 has the DD4130 since I thought that’s what I ordered. Shouldn’t he have told me it got switched to 116500? Never once did he explicitly say that, for I specifically asked for 126500. He just assumed I know which watch have what movement and changed the model of watch without consulting me.
