I’ve finally managed to get into the habit of 1,200 is plenty again, so I’m now considering the E word.

I’m not necessarily looking to burn loads of calories, more improve any or all of the following: core strength, balance, mobility, general fitness, toning.

Have any of you managed to build in some gentle exercise when starting from a position of total laziness/no fitness? Are there any apps/exercises you’d recommend?

I briefly considered JustFit (they do workouts from your bed!) and am also toying with Fitbit Premium and the works outs on Headspace. I just can’t find something that resonates. Yoga sounds like it might fit the bill, but it also sounds hella intimidating for someone with limited flexibility.

I’ve found the mental discipline to weigh and log my food, but I am struggling to find a similar mental switch for exercise. Any advice?

Also, if you are exercising, how have you coped with exercising only on certain days and the impact on your allowance/appetite? Consistency has really worked for me, and I worry upping my calories and working out on certain days is going to make a subsequent sedentary day really hard. Or do you do a tiny amount of exercise every day and thus up your allowance every day…?
