I just don't like it. I can't get into it. "Its the best anime" "Best animation" "Best film" Yeah but nah. I mean yeah it looks good and all, but its just kinda boring. I see how it could be enjoyed but I don't understand why everyone raves about it all the time. Its like Evangelion, but in one extra-long block without cool fighting robot, nonsensical philosophy, and pretty lame characters and plot twists. The whole thing about what Akira is barely makes sense as well. I've tried to watch it twice now and, while the first bit is decent, after that it just gets weird.
