Does anyone have recommendations for a structured program/template for gym training exercises to improve conditioning for tennis?
My current routine is a modified 5/3/1 powerbuilding program which has been helpful for (semi-)consistent gym training because I don’t need to think, I just follow the numbers on my spreadsheet. I’ve picked up the tennis bug recently and the extra mass isn’t helpful (lol).
I’ve looked online but most are general recommendations (HIIT cardio, plyometrics, etc) but I’ve yet to find a structured progressive program that eliminates any higher order thinking on my part.
- What are your training/conditioning programs (set x rep specifics much appreciated) like?
- How do you space gym training vs playing days?
