Post Body

(yes I see the title typo, can't find a way to edit on mobile) So my family recently upgraded to a 4K capable box, and they were excited to tell me I could pair a bluetooth headset to the box. Then I remembered one of our older boxes from a few years ago had an HDMI input on the back, covered by a piece of tape. This new box had a fancy plug in the HDMI input port instead, which implies to me that it does something now. This would be great, as I am planning on buying an Xbox Series X, and would like to use my generic bargain bin bluetooth devices as to not disturb people during my usual gaming hours of 9pm-4am. Last I had checked, the HDMI port is disabled in the box's firmware, and was added to the manufacturing process "just in case" they decide to implement passthrough. Well, after some Googling, Bing-ing, and DuckDuckGo-ing, rather then finding out how to enable it, I instead found people asking the same question, dated as "7 years ago".

So today, in the year 2021 I am once again asking: how do I enable this input? Surely they wouldn't continue to manufacture it if it STILL did nothing... Right?
