Not sure if im posting in the right sub here so i apologise if so.

Need help connecting my XBOXOne to the internet using an ethernet cable. Looked up and down all over the internet and tried all sorts of things to only fail. Not even sure if im doing anything right.

Basically, I live on a campus. When i tried to connect wirelessly it said "Internet security protocol" Cant connect to this type of router.

After some research turns out my college has a certain restriction on connections.

So i thought about bridging a connection from my PC to my xbox.

I did that and the error then turned to "Cant Connect DHCP, something, something"

Which then says to use a static IP. SO i gathered all my ipconfigs DNS, MAC address, gateway and tried all sorts of different combinations (not knowing exactly which one to try) and STILL cant get connected.

IS there anyone out there that can help me! I need to get back online!
