I just want to point out something.
John Green wrote The Fault in Our Stars's first draft in three months. Which is mathematically 1000 words daily, assuming he was working 5 - 7 hours per day... Pretty cool.
I try to write 3 hours a day every day. But I procrastinate and edit a lot too. Sounds bad, but if you really think about it, it would only take me 6 to 9 months to write a book the same length, part time. For a first draft that's still acceptable.
Let the book sit for 3 months. Spend another 3 to 6 writing the second and final drafts (with professional editors. Very important)... If you begin a story in June 2020. It will be in its final form earliest June 2021, latest January 2022. Wham! You have a sellable book in a year and a half.
In western society people live into their 70s to 90s on average. No matter what age you're at, you have time to write and finish books. Multiple, if you take it seriously. So, take it seriously!
