(Quick note: we're not opposed to rolling alliance if you think we'd be a perfect fit for your guild. It's just that we all have played alliance before and we're looking to mix it up.)
A small group of friends and I, after much deliberation, have decided to go back to WoW and give the new expansion a go. Almost all of us have played in the past, and all of us have extensive MMO experience. We're reliable, take our roles pretty seriously (a lot of us are min-maxers), and love to progress. That said, we're also grown-up and working full time, and don't feel like a full-fledged hardcore guild is our best option.
Strictly 10-man is fine, too, as long as there would be enough openings in the primary raid team, but we're in a unique position where we'd like to re-experience the game from the beginning, and work our way back up as opposed to take our WotLK or Cataclysm characters. This means we're looking for someone to take us in now, and kindly wait as we catch up while we get to know you and your crew. Keep in mind, too, that we're not looking for hand-outs or help while we level up.
Last checked, we'll have about 5-7 people, depending on who goes through with it. More may follow after the fact. We all have the capacity for voice communication, and use it nightly for whatever we're playing. (I even have a 30-slot mumble server I could provide the guild with should it need its own private one.)
Some back story about the group: I met most of them between WoW and Rift. I was part of a competitive strict-10man guild as our primary healer. Other friends within that guild, and in our larger sister guild, stopped "feeling it" a few weeks into Cataclysm, and moved onto Rift as a group. I formed a competitive raiding guild there as well, leading it successfully until it ultimately broke up when SWTOR came out. We moved there, albeit a bit hesitantly, and quit within a few months since it was terrible. We then moved to Wakfu, then TERA, then GW2, and decided nothing really held our attention quite like WoW did. So here we are. A lot of us have experience in even more MMOs, myself starting back with UO. A number of us have leadership experience, and, time permitting, would be willing to help out in any way necessary as we move forward with the guild, even if it means solely leading a secondary raid group with extra members you guys can't fit into the primary one.
We're tight-knit, and have been together for years, and want to make a move as a single unit to a new pre-established home that needs a little new blood. We're organized, social, and a little weird. Most of us can only really play at night, and find that 9:30pm PST would be the earliest time that would work for all of us, with 10pm PST being the preference.
Does it sound like we'd fit in? Respond here, or message me. If there's enough offers, we'll meet with each group to get to know you a little better before we make the move.
