It’s literally the harshest sanctions ever placed on a nation in HISTORY. I’ve heard it’s the equivalent of “Shock n Awe” in finance. Russia is so fucked, their main trading partner: China. Literally has them by the balls. They can charge the Russians anything the want because they have no other options. Not just that but the rubel is so weak, all their trading will have to be made in the Yuan, giving China further edge of Russia. The damage will be felt for decades to come

If he's pleading about sanctions I take it as a sign that he doesn't in fact want nuclear war because honestly sanctions would be the least of his worries of he launched a nuke.
