I work in tech, an incredibly challenging job market at the moment. Like many industries, tech is rife with sexism, racism, and all sorts of biases and discriminations.
As I'm actively looking for a new job, I'm constantly hesitating to answer the demographic questions and then get really nervous the rare times I choose "I don't wish to answer", because I don't want to limit my chances of employment due to someone else's stupid biases.
So, I'm curious to hear from you all. Tech or non-tech working moms, do you answer demographic questions in job applications? What thoughts come to mind when you answer/don't answer these questions?
