Ghede/Barons
Post Body

About a week or so ago I was mounted by a Ghede, and I have not yet spent much time in Loa worship/Vodou. He was cracking jokes, crass, sexual I knew right away he was Ghede - perhaps Baron. He asked my name - and a few names I gave him did not satisfy him, but he seemed amused by the exchange. A bit more information was exchanged; however, I do not feel the need to share it here. The exchange was very playful. I live by a big old cemetery where I spend a lot of time. I left a cigarette for him in an enchanted jar beneath a glass reaper figurine on one of my alters. I also have been leaving cigarettes for him at the gates of the cemetery. I tend to cohort with tricksters, weavers, gatekeepers, hedonistic/chaotic -and often sexually charged deities - so he seems to fit the bill. I just wish to know which aspect he is so I can better decide on my involvement/how to move forward. I also worry that I have so little knowledge of Vodou and am concerned with my lack of knowledge I'll fall short in the physical dedication required such as gifting.

Does anyone have any suggested reading/an idea which aspect he might have been/advice moving forward?

Also, information on offerings - knowing his aspect will point me better in a better direction for this -should I be careful in making too many offerings if I am not certain I'm ready to be as dedicated as he desires? -- or is it too late for that?
