Post Body

Hi, I hope this post is allowed. I have been shaving my face and my head since my early twenties(the ONLY unlucky one in my family to experience baldness haha). I was a member of dollar shave club. Nothing fancy, but it did the job well, and was fairly priced for what I was getting. Recently they changed their handle and blades and I've had enough. I'm not paying for the garbage they're sending me anymore. So, I decided to get a DE razor.

I decided on the Henson razor for its apparent ease of use with the angle built in. The problem is, I've been having absolutely horrible shaves. It's either barely shaving, or when it is, it feels like it's pulling my hair out. At first I assumed it was a learning curve and I would get better, but that hasn't happened. Then I assumed I was using the wrong shaving soap(I was still using the DSC shaving gel) so I ordered Arko soap. I tried with that last night, got a nice lather on my face and my head, and still had a horrendous time shaving. I've watched youtube videos, I've read a lot of posts here, and I still can't get it right for some reason?

If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it. Whether it's the razor I'm using, the blades that I'm using the built in angle of the Henson etc...or maybe I'm just a moron who wasn't built for this haha. I especially find shaving the back of my head with this to be a massive issue, It's like it's not even working at all.

I hope everyone has an incredible weekend!!
