I have been using a straight razor for a couple of months now, and I think the steepest part of the learning curve is over. I'd like to add one or two pasted strops into my routine, to keep my edge sharper and go longer before needing to rehone. I am thinking 1 chrome oxide and 1 diamond spray.

Unfortunately, my space in the bathroom is limited, so a paddle style is not a good option. I would like to do a pasted hanging strop instead. Should I be applying the paste to a leather or felt strop? Should I paste my dinged up beginner's strops and buy new nicer strops for my unpasted ones?

Any thoughts or suggestions? Anyone use a similar setup?
