Today, I had my first shave with a 1940s fat handle gillette tech, and I really enjoyed it.
I'd heard that the tech was a very mild razor, so I tried it with a feather. I don't normally use feathers with my other razors, but I still had a few in a drawer.
The tech/feather combo was very pleasant. It wasn't the closest shave I've ever had, but it was very smooth with no tugging. It felt similar to a 34c/nacet combo. I know that's completely subjective, but it was probably a little more smooth/not quite as close.
I'm looking forward to trying the tech with a few more blades/soaps and seeing if I want to put it in the rotation.
